Converting Images to PDF

Converting JPG and PNG images to PDF is one of the most common document tasks. PDFs are the preferred format for sharing documents professionally because they preserve layout and are universally readable. Whether you are submitting scanned documents for a job application, sending photos of receipts to an accountant, or compiling a photo report for a client, a PDF is usually the appropriate format. This tool handles the conversion entirely in your browser with no upload required.

Supported Image Formats

The tool accepts JPG, PNG, and WebP images. JPG is best for photographs and complex images where some quality loss is acceptable in exchange for smaller file size. PNG is ideal for screenshots, diagrams, and images with text or transparency. WebP is a modern format used by web browsers that offers good compression with high quality. Other formats such as BMP, GIF, or TIFF may work but are not officially supported and results may vary.

Controlling Image Order and Layout

When you add multiple images, each becomes one page in the final PDF in the order they appear in the list. Drag images to reorder them before clicking Convert. Each image is placed on a separate A4 page by default, scaled to fit within the page margins. If you need images in a specific sequence — for example, front and back of a document — make sure to arrange them correctly before converting.

Image Quality and File Size

The output PDF embeds each image at its original resolution. No additional compression is applied beyond what is necessary to embed the image in PDF format. This means the resulting PDF will be high quality but may be large if the source images are large. If you need a smaller PDF, consider resizing your images before conversion or using a PDF compressor after conversion. Compressing is especially useful before emailing or uploading to portals with file size limits.
